DynaFlex Product Scanning and Payments¶
The application supports the scanning of the Products and also Card Present transactions by using DynaFlex device.
The user can add a Product using this device and also can make Payments.
For the scanning feature to be used the Barcode Scanning Switch should have been enabled at the merchant level under Products/Services tab.
Adding the Product
A Product can be added to the application by scanning using the DynaFlex device.
STEP 1: Connect the DynaFlex device to the computer.
STEP 2: Navigate to the Inventory Management->Manage Products/Services page. Click on the Add button. The user will be taken to the Add Product/Service page.
STEP 3: Clicking upon the Product Code scan product icon, the user will be prompted to scan the Product.
On the DynaFlex device text appears to Scan the product.
STEP 4: Scan the Product, if it is successful then a message appears on the device as follows:
After the scan is successful, the code that is scanned from the product will be auto-populated in the Product Code field.
The user can enter the remaining details and the product can be added successfully.
Make A Payment
The Payments can be done by just scanning the product/service instead of manually selecting it from the drop-down.
The Make A Payment page with the Product Barcode scanning enabled looks as follows:
Clicking upon the Scan Product icon, the user will be asked to scan the product.
Once the user scans the barcode using the device, teh Product will be auto-populated in the Product/Service drop-down and the user can proceed with the payment process.
Note
Before performing the transactions the user has to add the DynaFlex terminal to the application on the Terminal Management page.
Once the terminal is added and connected to the computer, the user can perform the transactions via Magnetic Stripe, EMV Contact etc., as like other Card Present Payments.
